Meet Jada Harrison, Mental Health Therapy Resident

Jada is a compassionate and diligent social worker with a wholehearted dedication to serving individuals and communities for the greater good. A native of Gainesville, Georgia, she earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University.
​
Jada’s passion lies in supporting mental health and advancing social justice. Her long-term vision is to work with individuals transitioning from incarceration, helping them resettle and thrive as they reintegrate into their communities.

Jada's professional training includes working with adolescents experiencing behavioral and aggression challenges, where she skillfully applied activity therapy, family systems theory, and human development knowledge to foster understanding and growth.

In addition, Jada completed an internship serving the homeless population through a supportive housing service, where she provided trauma-informed care workshops, housing support, case management, and community resource referrals. She also collaborated with policymakers on strategies to address homelessness on a broader scale.

​Jada brings empathy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to advocacy into her work. Her ability to connect deeply with individuals, while keeping sight of systemic change, allows her to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.
